That’s why we’ve proudly partnered with Trees That Count, a nationwide movement dedicated to planting native trees to fight climate change. Through this partnership, we’re making a long-term commitment to offsetting our carbon footprint — one project at a time.
And the best part? Our clients don’t pay a cent extra for this. It’s simply another way we’re doing things the NZ Proud way.
What Is Trees That Count?
Trees That Count is a New Zealand-based conservation charity that helps individuals and businesses take action against climate change by planting native trees. Every native tree planted:
- Absorbs carbon from the atmosphere
- Improves biodiversity
- Restores local ecosystems
- Contributes to the health of our environment for future generations
Since 2016, over 2 million native trees have been funded through the programme, making a measurable impact on Aotearoa’s future.
How It Works: A Tree Gift With Every Renovation
We’ve structured our donations based on the scale of each renovation project, ensuring that our environmental impact grows alongside the work we do:
- Minor Works Projects (e.g. bathroom or kitchen upgrades):
🌱 We donate 10 native trees - Medium Renovations (e.g. aluminium joinery, interior alterations):
🌱 We donate 20 native trees - Major Extensions or Alterations:
🌱 We donate 30 native trees
Each donation is made online and is recorded under your name or project — and every NZ Proud client receives a gift certificate showing the number of native trees planted on their behalf.
Why We’re Doing This
The building and renovation industry has a responsibility to tread lightly. While we’re proud of the transformations we create, we’re also aware of the environmental impact of construction — from materials to transport to waste.
